This historic educational project at Amherst Central High School consisted of removal of old aluminum windows that had replaced the original wood windows, full asbestos abatement, and installation of new wood clad windows. The new Marvin Clad Ultimate Next Generation windows replicated the very first windows and brought the building back to its original beauty. Window Specialist also replaced some of the old curtain wall and storefronts with new Efco 406x storefront and curtain walls.
This project was phased over two summers while school was out for summer recess. The approximate project cost was $3.2 million.
